This is one of the most common things I told/tell myself when I am dieting or training hard. It’s not uncommon to find yourself at a event, party, work break room where the treats are a plenty. Nothing usually spectacular maybe some cheap ice cream, maybe some grocery store cake etc. Walk through the break room at work and get the pressure from peers who either don’t understand your goals or would love nothing more to watch you fail as they did. “C’mon Jamie, one piece won’t kill you!, Oh got live your life!” or “Lets go to a concert and get F’d up and stay out late” When I have to train hard in the morning.

My most powerful response is always. Sorry, I have some goals right now and those goals don’t involve that piece of cake/bar/concert/fill in your scenario. I’ve had cake/bar/concert/fill in your scenario before, and I’ll have it again, but as for right now, not gonna have it/do it!”

Stick to your guns. Achieve your goals! The difference between goals and dreams is the one has a due date!
