Fat Bombs!

Getting through holidays and special occasions can be quite challenging when you are trying to stay in Nutritional Ketosis. Everyone around you eating tasty treats. Even though you may know how bad they are for you or how bad they may derail your current goals that sometimes does not offer much comfort.

Below is a slightly modified version of a recipe of a tasty treat common in the Nutritional Keto World but a dairy free version. You can Google fat bombs and find about a million recipes all with in seconds.

You can whip this up in about 20 mins

4 oz (100g) 85% (or more) dark chocolate bar

4 oz (100g) coconut oil

2 oz (50g) coconut milk

2 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla

8-16 drops stevia glycerite*

Almond butter – just enough to make a center filling of each cup

*you can play around with other low card fillers or nuts I’ve tried Chashew’s and Pecans

Makes about 12 mini cupcake cups full.

Now remember, these are high calorie treats. Even though they may not knock you out of NK if weight loss if your goal don’t think just cause there is no sugar it gives you a free pass to eat as many as you like. That holds true with any of the Low Carb foods you may be eating.
